Having defeated the ice devil, the party decides to head up to the fortress of Shahlaria to take on the Rune Giants up there. This could turn out to be quite a dangerous fight, since a couple of rune giants plus a dozen or so cloud and storm giants could be more than the group can handle.

In which an assault is made on the lair of an Ice Devil, which turns out to have been waiting for them and has a few surprises in store.

In their explorations of the lost city, the party encounter a possible ally who provides them with a lot of information about the groups within the city.

A well planned and well executed plan of attack actually works, and luck is also with the party when it matters. It’s all going smoothly until an unexpected visitor crashes the party.
