It is the night of the Baron’s ball, a time of dancing, gift giving and general feasting. What could possibly go wrong?

The day started with a slaughter at the fish market, and ended with a slaughter of poetry and philosophy. I know I should have cared more about the fishmongers, but the poetry was really bad. I never thought I’d be so glad to see clowns.

Having been invited to a ball, not only do I need to find a dress, I also need to learn to dance. These are not something that a priestess of the God Emperor normally needs.

Five days to the Conclave and the festivities that will mark its beginning, including a ball which I’m sure all the important people will get invited to. In the meantime, we get invited to meet various people at inns who are in need of our services.

In our Zweihänder game, we are tasked by the guard captain to check out a couple of buildings to see how hard they are to break into. Which means more sewer work.

It’s probably not too surprising just how much damage you can do with a flaming crossbow bolt and a big pile of gunpowder. A week early for Guy Fawkes.

After a night of relaxation (or drunkenness, depending on who you ask), we head north on our new mission to investigate suspicious goings on at a bridge.
