The Nadya Vostik Score

The Blades in the Dark crew crash a party to steal the Edge of Forever, a soul marked blade that they want to use to kill a vampire. There is much fancy clothing (or in some cases, not very much fancy clothing), drugs and lucky dice rolls at just the right moments.

A Hole in my Mind

We head out of the city and visit the mine where people have been going missing. The Baron’s men have been messing with the fey, and we need to put things back to sleep which should never have been woken.

Attack of the Clones

Working my way through the trilogy of trilogies, we come to lots of CGI battles but little in the way of good pacing or excitement.

The Artist’s Score

Sewers and Servants

A session where half the party managed to avoid danger through some careful planning, whilst Eva takes a job as a scribe to get a good look at the castle.

The Sanctuary Score

We were down one player for this Roll20 session of Blades in the Dark, so the crew decided to put off the plan to find the vampire hunter and instead for for something simpler – expanding their territory by claiming the Sanctuary.

The Naming of Things

Defining life on exo-planets comes down to what there is, and then what to call it. Some ruminations on naming and classification schemes to use for alien life.

The Smuggler’s Warehouse

The continuation of our usual Zweihänder game, though over Roll20 and Hangouts rather than face to face this week. We try breaking into a warehouse, and encounter something unexpected.

Thoughts on Knowledge Skills

Some thoughts on how to apply knowledge skill checks to avoid the binary pass/fail results that can block progress in a game.
