Munchkin God Killers

A look back at my first introduction to roleplaying games in the 1980s. We started with Fighting Fantasy-like games inspired by Doctor Who, then spent most of the rest of the decade playing Dungeons & Dragons. It took most of the decade to really settle into the hobby, but I was a teenager for most of it.

Pathfinder Ideas

Pathfinder adventure paths can be fun, but they are a huge time sink. If I were to run one again, I’d probably looking at reducing the amount of time and effort involved by paring them back to the barest minimum.

The Dove

My current time filler is designing an orbital transport for a SciFi game, both using Blender and maths to work out how well it works. It’s not yet finished, but I’ve included some of my design notes to give an idea of its capabilities.

The Rise of Skywalker

The Rise of Skywalker is the last film of the Skywalker saga, and I have finally got around to re-watching it now it is available. Like all of the new trilogy, it has some good and some bad.

The Things from the Crypt

The Last Jedi

Almost at the end of my re-watching of the entire Skywalker saga, I really enjoyed The Last Jedi when I first saw it. It has it’s problems, but I’m willing to forgive most of them.

The Force Awakens

The Force Awakens is the first film in the final Star Wars trilogy, and one I didn’t think highly of the first time I watched it. I’m now doing a mini review on re-watching it as part of watching the entire series.

The Final Score

Our final session of Blades in the Dark (at least for a while) and the culmination of the crew’s attempts to get rid of their Vampire nemesis.

Resource Generation

Reworking some of the random text generation for worlds with life, to try and allow for more varied descriptions. With tens of thousands of worlds, the more options there are mean less chance of repetition.

What a wonderful smell

Continuing our Zweihänder game, we head down into the sewers to catch us a basilisk, which turns out to be very profitable. Then we head off to deal with some undead where we get a sense of deja vu.
